Tom Holland to Star in Fred Astaire Biopic with Sabrina Carpenter as Ginger Rogers, Margaret Qualley as Adele Astaire

Sabrina Carpenter is set to play Ginger Rogers alongside Tom Holland, who will take on the role of Fred Astaire, in an untitled biographical film, as reported by Deadline. Margaret Qualley will appear as Adele Astaire, Fred's sister and dance partner. This movie, inspired by Kathleen Riley's book The Astaires: Fred & Adele, features a screenplay by Paul King and Steven Levenson, with King also directing. The narrative will center on Adele's experiences in conjunction with Fred's. Ava Astaire McKenzie, Fred's daughter, is backing the project, with her son Tyler McKenzie serving as a consultant and co-producer. The film aims to depict the grandeur of Golden Age Hollywood through intricate dance performances. Holland first proposed the idea around five years ago, while Qualley was previously linked to another now-shelved biopic.
