Tokyo Autumn Shows: Sakamoto's Ambient Kyoto, Tanaka's Paper Archive, Hojoki Tiny Architecture
This autumn, Tokyo will host three new exhibitions. 'Ryuichi Sakamoto + Shiro Takatani: Ambient Kyoto' at Azabudai Hills Gallery features a unique installation inspired by Sakamoto's 2017 album Async, available until 25 October 2026. Meanwhile, the Ginza Graphic Gallery presents 'Yoshihisa Tanaka: Archive / Achieve,' highlighting the work of art director Yoshihisa Tanaka over the past twenty years, running until 21 October 2026. Additionally, 'Learning from "Hojoki": Tiny Architecture Reweaves Life,' curated by Yoshiharu Tsukamoto at 21_21 Design Sight in Roppongi, explores architecture through Kamo no Chomei's 13th-century essay, with its exhibition lasting until 11 January 2027.
