Tiffany & Co. Opens Peter Marino-Designed South Coast Plaza Store

Tiffany & Co. has opened its newly redesigned South Coast Plaza store, designed by architect Peter Marino. The space features a textured hammering technique used by 19th-century Tiffany silversmith Edward C. Moore on the interior façade. An immersive digital display by artist Oyoram showcases California scenery. A custom light sculpture by architect Hugh Dutton illuminates collections including HardWear, Bird on a Rock, Knot, Sixteen Stone, T, and Lock. The main entrance displays works by Damien Hirst, while the All About Love salon features Michelangelo Pistoletto's Color and Light. The Tiffany High Jewelry space and Jean Schlumberger gallery house include a Tiffany Studios lamp and Urs Fischer's Tiffany Cosmos. The Watch Salon presents Vik Muniz's Water Lilies after Monet. A site-specific installation features objects from The Tiffany Archives, including a morganite specimen from Mesa Grande on loan from a private collection.
