Three Spanish Films Compete for Golden Shell at San Sebastián

Three Spanish films will compete for the Golden Shell at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. The festival director, José Luis Rebordinos, who is facing his last edition, announced the selections alongside his successor, Maialen Beloki. The chosen films are "Cinco minutos más" by Javier Ruiz Caldera, "Sants" by Mikel Gurrea, and "El mal padre" by Roberto Bueso. They aim to repeat the success of the last two editions, where "Los domingos" by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa and "Tardes de Soledad" by Albert Serra won the Golden Shell. The festival will also feature "La bola negra" in the Perlas section and three Spanish debut films in the New Directors section.
