Thinking Hands at THEA Explores Embodied Knowledge in Groningen

Thinking Hands, curated by Roosje Klap and Musoke Nalwoga, is currently on display at THEA in Groningen, Netherlands, until 01 November. This exhibition delves into the concept of embodied knowledge within our technological landscape, showcasing works by artists such as Paul Kooiker, Martina Bacigalupo, Andi Gáldi Vinkó, Martha Rosler, Laure Prouvost, and Kvam/Oldereid. The inspiration for Thinking Hands arose after a visitor raised a question about hope, following last year's Noorderlicht Biennale, which focused on Machine Entanglements. THEA, a repurposed tobacco factory covering 8000 square meters, is supported by the Mondriaan Fund and the City of Groningen. Next summer, Klap and Nalwoga will curate the upcoming Noorderlicht Biennale, themed PLAY, featuring Debi Cornwall's Necessary Fictions / Model Citizens.
