Theo Gallino's 'Pneumofonìe' Explores Breath and Impermanence at TOMAV Moresco

Theo Gallino's solo exhibition 'Pneumofonìe' opened on July 4, 2026, at TOMAV Experience in Moresco, Italy, curated by Barbara Caterbetti. The show runs until September 13, 2026, in the heptagonal tower of the Marche visual arts center. Gallino's work investigates the form of breath and the impossibility of holding what is meant to disperse. Materials include terracotta, iron, brick dust, Sicilian volcanic sand, and handmade papers. The artist contrasts dandelion pollen (symbolizing life fulfilled through dispersal) with bubble wrap (industrial plastic designed to trap air). A site-specific sound project by composer Paolo Principi uses an accordion's bellows, amplified and reshaped electronically, to echo the cycle of inhaling, holding, and releasing. The exhibition is part of TOMAV's artistic direction by Andrea Giusti, emphasizing fragility. Partners include Tomav Experience Ass. Cult., Ipsumars, Amalassunta Edizioni, MOCAfeast, and Giusti Contemporary Art, with patronage from the Comune di Moresco and Pro Loco Moresco.
