‘The Other Side’ exhibition marks Brexit decade with graphic responses
Ten years after the Brexit referendum, a new design exhibition titled ‘The Other Side: Ten Years after the Referendum’ presents graphic responses from ten creative practitioners. Curated by GraphicDesign& and designed by LucienneRoberts+ (Lucienne Roberts, John McGill, Rebecca Wright), the show is on view at Pentagram's Osh Gallery in London N1 until 26 June 2026. The works are made from unsold copies of the 2020 book ‘The Other Side: An Emotional Map of Brexit Britain’, which featured voices of 26 Leave and 24 Remain voters. Participating artists include Hugh Miller, Michael Marriott, Stefanie Posavec, Sarah Boris, Ella Krispel, YiMiao Shih, STORE (Oyin Falade, Stella Jaques, Yusuf Uddin), Marianne Mueller with Mia Mueller Kneer, and Rebecca Wright. Miller's piece uses post-Brexit financial data and statistics; Marriott created a side table from recycled offcuts; Posavec's work reflects on dashed hopes; Boris painted pages with European flag colours; Krispel weaves historical artefacts; Shih uses watercolour and paper pulp; STORE represents young voters; Mueller and Kneer show prime ministers shredding books; and Wright transforms leftover letterforms into hopeful pieces. The exhibition runs 11am-4pm at Osh Gallery, 46 Essex Road, London N1 8LN.
