The Feeling's 'Twelve Stops and Home' Marked 20 Years Since Its Recording in a Horsham Shed
Dan Gillespie Sells, the lead singer of The Feeling, shared in a chat with BBC Radio Sussex that their debut album, Twelve Stops and Home, which went triple platinum, was actually recorded in a shed in Horsham. This June 2006 release is celebrating its 20th anniversary and peaked at number two on the UK charts, featuring popular tracks like Sewn and I Love It When You Call. The recording sessions happened in a garden shed belonging to bandmates Kevin and Ciaran Jeremiah, where they improvised by borrowing microphones while Kevin built a small computer. Reflecting on the past, Gillespie Sells noted how different the industry is now and mentioned a tour planned to celebrate the anniversary, with shows in Eastbourne and Margate on 11 and 12 November, respectively.
