The Breakers' Beach Club Restaurant Redesigned by Tihany Design

The Breakers, a historic Palm Beach hotel, has unveiled a redesigned Beach Club restaurant by Tihany Design's Alessia Genova. The property, which has been a symbol of Palm Beach luxury for 130 years, has undergone multiple transformations, including two fires and service as a US Army hospital during WWII. Genova, who has spent 14 years renovating the hotel's guest rooms, suites, lobby, lounges, and eateries, recently turned her attention to the poolside restaurant, which had not been updated in nearly 15 years and featured dark mahogany panelling and beige carpets. The redesign encloses an arched loggia to add indoor space, features a two-sided marble bar, and uses a palette of white, pale turquoise, and lemon yellow, with checkerboard flooring outdoors and iron furnishings. The restaurant now serves an all-day Italian menu and is open exclusively to guests and members. Genova aimed to bring a residential Florida feel while complementing the existing architecture, and the space evokes a Mediterranean beachside atmosphere.
