Thaddaeus Ropac Seoul Presents Posthumous Georg Baselitz Exhibition Per Mano
"Per Mano," an exhibition showcasing the works of renowned artist Georg Baselitz, is currently on display at Thaddaeus Ropac Seoul. This exhibition, created in collaboration with Baselitz prior to his passing in April 2026, features two significant series of monotype paintings: "Schatten" from 2020 and "Darkness Goldness" from 2019. Both series are debuting in South Korea, with "Schatten" making its first appearance since prior exhibitions in Istanbul and Bilbao in 2024 and 2025, respectively. Baselitz's art explores themes of mortality, rooted in the reflections initiated during the 56th Venice Biennale in 2015, marking his lasting influence on modern art.
