Terran Last Gun and Mitchell Marti Debut Ledger Art Lithographs
Terran Last Gun, recognized for his ledger drawings, teamed up with printmaker Mitchell Marti from Interbang Press to create five lithographs, marking the inaugural adaptation of ledger art into lithography. These prints incorporate vintage-style ledger sheets and utilize chine collé with washi paper on cotton rag. Frank Rose, the owner of Hecho a Mano, commended Last Gun’s transition from screenprints. Marti expressed his admiration for Last Gun’s artistry and selected lithography for its ability to produce fine lines. This collaboration represents Last Gun’s first experience with lithography. The standout piece, 'Complex Wonder to Gaze Upon,' is a 27-color lithograph (20 by 53 inches, edition of 7). Additional works include 'Fresh Ideas Emerge' (10-color, edition of 9) and 'Celestial Beings Provide Order' (14-color, edition of 9).
