Terra e Tuma Arquitetos Associados Completes Two Shared-Lot Houses in Florianópolis

Two friends commissioned Terra e Tuma Arquitetos Associados to build their homes on a single plot in Praia do Campeche, Florianópolis, Brazil. The completed project, Campeche Houses, covers 230 m² and was finished in 2024. The design brief called for two independent residences on one lot, balancing each owner's autonomy with the possibility of closer, almost communal, interaction. The architects describe the choice of a shared plot as both pragmatic and symbolic. Danilo Terra, Fernanda Sakano, Juliana Terra and Pedro Tuma served as lead architects and comprised the project team. Débora Jank photographed the houses. Terraço Paisagismo handled landscape design, Bloco.b Arquitetura was responsible for interiors, and BUD Construtora carried out general construction. The project falls under the Residential Architecture, Houses category and is published on ArchDaily, where Susanna Moreira served as curator. A Portuguese-language version of the original article is also available.
