teamLab to Open Immersive Water-Based Museum in Singapore's Gardens by the Bay Expansion
Gardens by the Bay in Singapore will undergo a major transformation with the Wetlands by the Bay expansion, featuring a flagship museum by the digital art collective teamLab. Opening progressively from late 2028, the 12,000-square-meter museum will be experienced by kayak through a controlled waterway, with projections responding to movement across mangroves. The Kingfisher Wetlands will nearly triple to 5 hectares, incorporating elevated boardwalks, quiet viewpoints, and a canopy-level walkway. New dining spots, an open lawn for events, and an accessibility bridge will connect the gardens. Since its 2012 opening, the destination has merged horticulture, architecture, and technology, now pushing further into participatory, eco-focused experiences.
