exhibition · 2026-10-03

The Museum for Architectural Drawing in Berlin, part of the Tchoban Foundation, is featuring an exhibition titled "Nizo Yamamoto – Master of Anime Scenography." This is the first time Nizo Yamamoto, a celebrated Japanese art director who passed away in 2023, is being honored outside of Japan. The show includes a range of his background art, image boards, and production materials that illustrate his unique style. Throughout his 40-plus year career, he collaborated with prominent directors like Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki on films such as Castle in the Sky and Princess Mononoke.
