Tate Liverpool and Future Yard Launch Collaborative Series Merging Art and Music

Tate Liverpool and Future Yard have initiated a collaborative program that integrates contemporary art with contemporary music. The series will feature an 'In Conversation' segment at Tate Liverpool where artists discuss musical influences on their creative output, followed by live music events organized by visual artists to highlight music's impact on their artistic practice. The program will commence in June with Turner Prize recipient Mark Leckey, who hails from the Wirral region. This partnership reflects a longstanding historical connection between visual and performing arts, with the interplay between music and art becoming more pronounced since the mid-20th century. The initiative aims to showcase how artists across disciplines inspire one another, push creative boundaries, and experiment with their methodologies.
