Tarkett and Designers Transform Flooring into Circular Installations at 3daysofdesign 2026

At the 2026 3daysofdesign event in Copenhagen, Tarkett collaborated with TILT consultancy to engage three international designers: Laurids Gallée, Yinka Ilori, and Christian + Jade. They created installations using Tarkett’s vinyl, carpet, and linoleum, showcased in an exhibition named “Beginnings & Endings” at Galleri Susanne Ottesen, which emphasized circularity. Ilori constructed a modular area with carpet tiles featuring EcoBase backing, highlighting the recyclability of components at Tarkett’s Carpet Recycling Centre. Gallée designed a playful setup with a daybed, awning, and water well from recyclable single-layer homogeneous vinyl. Christian Hammer Juhl and Jade Chan utilized black linoleum from Tarkett’s Narni, Italy plant to challenge material perceptions. Thomas Leneveu, Tarkett's Vice President of Commercial Business Unit, remarked that this partnership fosters innovative perspectives on circularity through design.
