Tangenta Group Exhibition Brings Young Artists from Germany, Belarus, Serbia and Ukraine Together
The group exhibition Tangenta, curated by Andreja Bogdanović and Katarina Vasiljević, will take place from 15 October to 7 November 2026. It showcases the creations of emerging artists from Ukraine, Serbia, Belarus, and Germany. These artworks were produced during four iterations of the Art Camp Tangente, facilitated by JANUN and Herbsthausen. The exhibition delves into themes such as belonging, borders, memory, freedom, responsibility, and the individual versus the community, shaped by the aftermath of the pandemic, migration, war, and oppression. It highlights a variety of artistic perspectives without a cohesive narrative, reflecting unique histories and social contexts while tackling issues of conflict, displacement, and self-determination amidst the complexities of presenting politically charged art.
