Tamme's Tokyo Spring 2027: Docking Uniforms with Streetwear

Tatsuya Tamada's brand, Tamme, unveiled its Tokyo Spring 2027 collection, which investigates the idea of 'docking'—a Japanese fashion term that refers to merging elements from two different garments into a single piece. Drawing inspiration from his father, a police officer, Tamada, who previously worked with Sacai's Chitose Abe, softened the rigid forms typical of uniform styles by rounding shoulders and modifying lengths. Notable items featured grayish-blue button-ups fused into one, a khaki sport coat reimagined as a field jacket, blazers designed as hoodies, and sweatpants styled with tailored trouser drapes. Polo shirts and zip-ups displayed crest-shaped cutouts, resembling torn badges that exposed striped shirting underneath. Tamada aimed for "one look" that intertwines various intentions and layers into a unified whole, creating a sartorial palimpsest that balances traditional uniformity with personal rebellion.
