T2P Architects Designs Cross-Functional Sendai Branch for Lightning Rod Manufacturer
The Sendai branch office for Osaka Lightning Rod Industry, a company specializing in lightning protection systems, has been finalized by T2P Architects Office. Situated in a burgeoning condominium district of Sendai City, this 415 m² facility was completed in 2025. Its design draws inspiration from the composition of a lightning rod, promoting effective communication among various functions such as sales, ordering, inventory, assembly, transport, and on-site tasks. Prior branch offices had fragmented workspaces across several floors, which obstructed collaboration. The project was led by architects Tatsuhito Ono, Tomonori Miura, and Yang Shikwan, with structural engineering by Obayashi Corporation and electrical engineering by Hibiya Engineering. Miwa Negoro curated the project, and photographs were taken by Vincent Hecht.
