Surf Shop Helps Young Man with Cerebral Palsy Ride Waves at Jenness Beach

In New Hampshire, Summer Sessions Surf Shop has garnered attention for its welcoming surfing environment, especially for Enzo Marcantoni, a young man living with cerebral palsy. While on vacation, the shop’s staff helped Marcantoni onto a paddleboard with his sports buggy and took him into the ocean at Jenness Beach, allowing him to fulfill his surfing dream and form a lasting bond. His father, Walter, shared that Enzo kept exclaiming, 'Again, again, again!' and that videos fail to capture his enthusiasm. Although their connection began pre-pandemic, Marcantoni underwent three surgeries and faced border restrictions before returning in 2022 at 18. Since then, he’s visited nearly every year, earning the title 'The King of Jenness Beach.' The shop praises him as 'a leader, team member, friend, and an absolute inspiration,' while the family aims to highlight surfing's inclusivity. Marcantoni also enjoys skiing, boxing, and water sports, with the shop recently noting his impressive skills during his 2025 visit, stating he 'absolutely shredded.'
