Supergirl: Milly Alcock stars in DC Studios' punk-inspired film

DC Studios releases 'Supergirl,' directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira, inspired by Tom King's comic miniseries 'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.' Milly Alcock plays Kara Zor-El, a traumatized and rebellious Kryptonian who embarks on a galactic revenge mission with her dog Krypto and young Ruthye Marye Knoll. Costume designers Michael Mooney and Anna B. Sheppard retained the classic skirt in a dynamic design. The film opens in Italian theaters on June 25, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Alcock, known for 'House of the Dragon' and 'Sirens,' describes Kara's journey as one of healing through helping others. Kara first appeared in the finale of 'Superman,' which launched the new DC Universe.
