Summer 2026 Photography Exhibitions: From Camille Vivier to Paolo Roversi

Aperture's guide for summer 2026 highlights nine photography exhibitions across Europe and the United States. In Paris, Camille Vivier's inaugural museum exhibit at Maison Européenne de la Photographie is open until September 20. The 57th Rencontres d'Arles, taking place from July 6 to October 4, features 'Ghana! Dreaming Independence, 1957–1976' alongside works by Edward Steichen, Lisa Oppenheim, and Paul Kodjo. New York's International Center of Photography showcases 'Yves Saint Laurent and Photography' until September 28. Milwaukee Art Museum hosts Widline Cadet's first US solo exhibit, 'Currents 40,' through August 9. The Art Institute of Chicago displays 'Lucas Samaras' until July 20, and MoMA PS1 presents 'Greater New York 2026' until August 17, featuring 53 artists. Additional highlights include MIT Museum's 'Freezing Time' (ending October 8) and the Triennial of Photography Hamburg (through September 22). Paolo Roversi's 'Doubts,' focusing on his fashion photography, is on view at MOP Foundation in A Coruña, Spain, from June 20 to September 20.
