SUMMA MALLORCA 2026 Positions Balearic Art on International Stage with Diverse Program
The second edition of the SUMMA MALLORCA International Contemporary Art Fair is set to take place from April 9-12, 2026, at Pueblo Español Mallorca in Palma. This event will highlight Balearic artists such as Julio Bauzá, Mònica Fuster, and Joan Cabrer, alongside international talents. Curatorial highlights include Jordi Pallarés's exploration of art systems and Fiona Ferrer's "Las manos y el origen." Galleries from Buenos Aires, Berlin, London, Mexico City, and various Spanish cities will engage in a dialogue between local and global art scenes. The program boasts 53% female participation and features seven projects from Palma, encompassing painting, photography, textiles, ceramics, and drawing. Prior to the fair, an artistic journey on the Ciudad de Sóller ferry will occur. The inaugural fair was held from May 29 to June 1, 2025, with the goal of boosting Mallorca's cultural visibility.
