Subterranean Spa by KIP arhitekti in a Rustic Estate

architecture-design · 2026-08-26

KIP arhitekti has completed a subterranean spa within a former mill estate, now a tourist complex. The project, covering 110 square meters, was finished in 2023 and is located in a forest clearing with a stream running through the property. The design team, led by principal architects Ognen Arsov and Ana Kosi, with design team member Kaja Todorović, aimed to integrate the spa into the rustic and idyllic surroundings. The spa is part of a five-building complex, all designed in a classic rustic style, both architecturally and aesthetically. The subterranean nature of the spa allows it to blend into the landscape while providing a serene wellness experience. Photographs by Ana Skobe capture the integration of the spa with its natural environment. The project falls under the categories of hospitality, entertainment, spa, and wellness interior design. The spa's design emphasizes a harmonious relationship with the existing estate, enhancing the romantic and idyllic scenery. The project was curated by Nina Vuga and was featured on ArchDaily.
