STUDIO SPLASH Designs HARMAY Store in Changsha's Underground Wuyi Plaza Commercial Axis

architecture-design · 2026-10-17

STUDIO SPLASH completed the HARMAY retail store on Guojin Street in Changsha, China, in 2025, occupying the B1 level of a subterranean commercial axis beneath the Wuyi Plaza shopping district. The 471 m² interior spans a junction of indoor corridors linking street-level entrances to underground transit hubs, positioning the shop as a connector between a double-height atrium on B2 and north-south pedestrian routes at ground level near a major pedestrian intersection. Simon Huang served as principal architect, with a design team of Ho Yan Ko, Luqian Lin and Kaki Kong. Shanghai Xuhui Planning & Architectural Design Co., Ltd. acted as local design institute, Shanghai Yuying Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. as general contractor, and Shanghai Mufang Display Props Co., Ltd. supplied the display fixtures. NKSTONE and Shanghai Mufang Display Props are listed as project suppliers. Aaron Shao photographed the scheme, filed under Commercial Interiors. HAN Shuang curated the project presentation.
