Studio Portaluppi Reopens in Milan After Two-Year Renovation
After a two-year closure, Piero Portaluppi's iconic studio located at 5 Via Morozzo della Rocca in Milan has reopened its doors. Now functioning as the base for Filippo Taidelli Architecture and Studio Portaluppi, the space is curated by Julia Koropoulos. Originally designed by Portaluppi and finished in 1939, the studio showcases walnut paneling, metal frameworks, and a stunning polychrome marble floor composed of over five hundred pieces. A walnut table has been meticulously reconstructed from original designs, and a metal drawbridge has been added to the air-raid shelter. The reopening, scheduled for autumn 2026, will feature exhibitions, workshops, and concerts under the theme C'est l'heure de bien faire — "It's time to do things well," aiming to create a vibrant cultural hub.
