Studio Nicholson Spring 2027 Runway Debut After 16 Years

Nick Wakeman presented her first runway collection for Studio Nicholson at the ornate Hotel d’Evreux, marking a milestone for the London-based brand as it expands into wholesale and eyes Asia. The dual-gender show featured 30 looks emphasizing clarity, structure, and modularity, with inspirations including the song 'Someone to Watch Over Me,' Charlotte Rampling, Isabella Rossellini, and architect Tadao Ando. Wakeman's clean silhouettes, mellow palette of black, gray, brown, navy, and red, and thoughtful fabric choices reflect a rigorous architectural approach. The collection opened with a man in a micro-striped shirt and pleated pants, followed by a woman in mid-waist trousers and a tab-collar shirt. Highlights included a brown double-breasted suit, mariner stripe shirt with flowing pants, suede coat, cropped leather jacket, knit polo with floor-length skirt, and utility shirt over knee-length skirt. Wakeman waited 16 years for this debut, stating she wanted to 'see the clothes move' live rather than as static images.
