Studio Memo Completes Casa Ella, a 640 m² Split-Block Residence in Alto da Boa Vista

Studio Memo has completed Casa Ella, a 640 m² residential project finished in 2025 in Alto da Boa Vista. The house is organized as two blocks arranged around a central garden, joined by a continuous sequence of ramps that link each sector at half-level intervals and rise to a garden terrace. This circulation gradually discloses the relationship between the interior and exterior of the residence. The scheme's sculptural massing is described as embracing, protecting and sheltering its occupants while also permitting numerous connections to the outside. Privacy for residents ranked among the project's priorities, and the design pairs it with interiors that receive ample natural light. Pedro Laterza served as principal architect and coordinated the project. Jader Almeida handled interior design, Monica Costa was responsible for landscaping, and ETEC provided structural engineering. Civil engineering came from Misuraca Engenharia and TBR Obra, electrical engineering from Bekväm, and lighting from Lucenera. Suppliers included Bontempo for joinery, Jaderalmeida for furniture, Hunter Douglas for metal panels and Portobello for ceramic cladding.
