Studio gmñ's Casa Promenade Wraps a Lakeside Home Around a Winding Garden Path

Completed in 2025 on the shore of a lake in Levilândia, Casa Promenade takes its name from the act of walking and looking: arrival unfolds along a sinuous path that cuts through dense vegetation before the residence itself comes into view. Studio gmñ led the 593 m² residential project, with Guto Delgado, Mylena Oliveira and Letícia Ferreira as lead architects. Leticia Ferreira handled coordination, and the design team comprised Ruth da Costa, Verônica Bento, Iara Mendes, Almir Quaresma and Roberval Gustavo Rodrigues. Bernard Cunha photographed the house. Lighting consulting came from Rodrigo Monte, structural engineering from Projetos funcionais, landscaping from Margareth Maroto, and Amaral Guimarães engenharia served as general contractor. Suppliers included Arkos, Carlos Motta, Cinex, Dell Anno, Jader Almeida and Polytec. Set within an expansive garden, the house deliberately withholds itself from the street, so circulation becomes the organizing device of the whole experience rather than a residual element.
