Studio Elèn Letort revamps historic Amsterdam maisonette with warm tones and vintage furniture

Studio Elèn Letort has completed the renovation of a 17th-century former merchant's house on Amsterdam's Herenmarkt, transforming it into a warm, characterful home for a couple to display their art and travel collections. The project focused on aesthetic and spatial improvements, including reorganizing the upper floor for better bedroom-bathroom separation. The interior features rich wood tones, natural materials, walnut cabinetry, steel worktops, fluted glass, and a green stone vanity unit. Key pieces include an artwork by Claire Witteveen, Nello bar stools by Serax, and Arête pendant lamp by Asca Studio. The design references the Dutch Golden Age and complements original wooden beams.
