Studio davidpompa and 1050° Cooperative Launch Can Natural Ceramic Collection at 3daysofdesign

For 3daysofdesign, Studio davidpompa and the Mexican artisan cooperative 1050° have introduced Can Natural, a new edition of the studio's established collection. The series is handcrafted by master craftsmen in Los Reyes Metzontla, Puebla, using natural clay harvested from the arid hills surrounding the town. The finish emphasizes irregularity, texture, and the raw color of the clay, reflecting a distinct material process and regional identity. This collaboration marks the beginning of a partnership between davidpompa and 1050°, a cooperative dedicated to preserving ceramic traditions and ancestral knowledge from Oaxaca, Puebla, and Chiapas. The collection includes a portable version, Can Portable Natural, adding functionality. The project showcases a dialogue between contemporary design and traditional Mexican craftsmanship.
