Studio B Architecture + Interiors Renovates Boulder's Parkside Villa, Preserving Original Foundations

Studio B Architecture + Interiors completed Parkside Villa in 2024, a full transformation of an existing 845-square-meter residence in a rural neighborhood of Boulder, Colorado. Rather than demolishing and rebuilding, the design team treated the project as a chance to redefine how architecture, interiors and landscape relate to one another, retaining the house's existing foundations and much of its load-bearing structure. The 9,100-square-foot home was reconfigured for the changing lifestyle of an active family. Robby Cuthbert, AIA, and Mike Piche, AIA, led the team as principal architects, joined by design staff Olivia Kleespies, ASID, and Raquel Mayorga. MK Construction served as general contractor, with structural engineering by Ascent Group and civil engineering by The Sanitas Group. Materials and products came from Miele, Dekton, Royal Mosa, Thermory Benchmark Ash Cladding and Vonderhaus.
