Stück: A new queer third-space in Dalston combining work, club and community

architecture-design · 2026-06-06

Stück, a newly established venue in Dalston, London, combines elements of a social club, cultural space, and hybrid workplace. Situated in a repurposed industrial building near Kingsland High Street, it has been created by Playbody Studio and Klub Verboten. This location serves as the first permanent establishment for Klub Verboten, a longstanding consent-focused nightlife community in London. Playbody Studio aims to explore body-centered architecture and social environments within this space. The two-story interior is inspired by Roman bathhouses, featuring a multi-tiered concrete conversation pit, bespoke aluminium and concrete designs, rubber-cast seating, spinning saddle stools, leather and latex accents, modular daybeds, and a 12-meter stainless-steel bench. Stück employs an application-based membership system, providing members with access to various spaces, a café, co-working areas, workshops, and artist-led initiatives. Future plans include a communal sauna and cold-plunge suite, catering to the need for stability within communities influenced by London's queer nightlife.
