Street Art Meets Empire Furniture at Cadillac Castle
An exciting exhibition titled "Drôles de meubles, ça déménage" is currently on display at the Château ducal in Cadillac-sur-Garonne, showcasing furniture from the historical "Les Aliénés" collection of the Mobilier national. Open until November 15, this event features innovative interpretations of classic pieces by contemporary artists, including Pimax’s vibrant "Nourf-desk" alongside works from Philippe Borderieux and Agnès Thurnauer. The château, originally constructed for Jean-Louis de Nogaret de la Valette under Henri IV, has hosted notable figures such as Louis XIV and Molière and was restored from 2021 to 2023 after serving as a prison until the mid-20th century.
