economy-finance · 2026-06-22

Michael Saylor revealed that Strategy's Bitcoin assets and USD Reserve now surpass its liabilities by roughly $48 billion, a significant improvement from late 2022 when crypto holdings were $300 million short of covering the debt. An 8-K filing dated June 15 disclosed that Strategy possesses 846,842 BTC, having purchased 1,587 BTC for $100 million. This Bitcoin is valued at nearly $54.2 billion, based on a price of around $64,000 per BTC, alongside a USD Reserve of $1.1 billion against $6.7 billion in convertible bonds, resulting in a surplus of about $48.6 billion. In October 2022, the firm held about 130,000 BTC worth $2.6 billion and has since raised over $60 billion while redeeming $1.5 billion in convertible notes. The USD Reserve increased from $871 million to $1.1 billion after securing $209 million.
