Stormie Mills Solo Exhibition at Art Gallery of Western Australia

Stormie Mills, a street and visual artist who splits his time between Perth, Italy, and Venice, will present a solo exhibition at the Art Gallery of Western Australia from 1 August to 8 November 2026. Mills, who began spray painting and painting on the streets in 1984, is known for his whimsical and thought-provoking characters rendered in a restricted palette of black, white, grey, and silver. His characters draw on a deep sense of isolation yet carry a message of hope, imbuing them with a humanity and palpable presence that captures the tenderness of the human condition. The exhibition is titled 'All the secrets are buried between the oceans and the mountains' and will feature works including 'Our secrets are the lies we tell ourselves' (2025), an acrylic on canvas measuring 150 x 100 cm, from the artist's collection. The exhibition is held in Western Australia, with the Art Gallery of Western Australia as the venue.
