Stian Eide Kluge's Candle Wax Lamps at Kunstnernes Hus

Stian Eide Kluge presents a series of works at Rothaus, Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo, including candle wax lamps made from steel, curved automotive glass, bolts, and adhesive, alongside candles composed of 90% paraffin and 10% stearin with a melting point of approximately 70°C. The exhibition also features an untitled drawing from 2026 using colored pencil on paper and water-based stain on an oak frame, and a sculpture titled 'Hull' from 2026 constructed from wood batten, screws, polyurethane, print transfer on birch plywood, and UV-wax. The candle wax lamps incorporate incandescent light bulbs (E27, 25W) that emit about 2 watts of light, with over 90% of energy released as heat. The works explore the materiality of light and combustion, referencing tallow candles made from ruminant fat.
