Stelios Kallinikou's 'Cliffs Among Dreams' Opens at C/O Berlin for Ulrike Crespo Photography Prize 26

From 12th September 2026 to 20th January 2027, C/O Berlin will showcase 'Cliffs Among Dreams,' an exhibition by Cypriot artist Stelios Kallinikou, as part of the After Nature. Ulrike Crespo Photography Prize 26. This display encompasses photography, film, sound, and sculptural pieces created over ten years in the Akrotiri peninsula, emphasizing the conflict between personal experience and territorial governance. Kallinikou highlights ecological deterioration, noting only 35–50 flamingos this year. The exhibition also features Cyprus's largest seaport, the Aetokremmos archaeological site, and fossilized remains of the dwarf hippopotamus Phanourios minor, identified in 1972. Sculptural elements utilize carved garden stones in relation to the Turkey–Northern Cyprus water pipeline and include a photograph of the Red Arrows, alongside references to radar ornithology.
