Steenzicht Social Housing Brings 118 Dwellings to The Hague

Steenzicht 1A, developed by JVST, is one of the first buildings finished in De Zichten, a large-scale effort aimed at revitalizing and increasing density in the post-war neighborhoods of Dreven, Gaarden, and Zichten in southwest The Hague. Spanning 8,500 m², it includes 118 social housing units and features a courtyard design that enhances greenery, intimacy, and lively street life. The main architects are Jaakko van 't Spijker and Jesse Wijnen, with a design team that includes Julio Gill, Violeta Sánchez Sánchez, and others. HFB Groep manages technical details, while Palmbout Urban Landscapes is in charge of urban planning. The project is set for completion in 2026, with photography by Aiste Rakauskaite.
