Squelette Design's House of Continuum: A 1,200 m² Biophilic Residence in India

Squelette Design has completed The House of Continuum, a 1,200 m² residential project in India, with an expected completion year of 2026. The architecture practice, led by principal architects Saumil Patel and Prashant Trivedi, designed the house as a sanctuary for well-being that engages in an empathetic dialogue with its surrounding ecology. The project is described as an autopoietic intervention in minimalist brutalism, reimagining the spatial syntax of cohabitation with nature and moving beyond the traditional paradigm of residential shelter. Grounded in critical regionalism and biophilic design, the architecture refuses to impose itself on the landscape, instead functioning as a permeable pavilion that assimilates fluidly into the genius loci. The design team includes Jay Suthar, Jinal Harsora, and Dhvani Kanuga, with Jay Sompura on the technical team. Landscape architecture is by ALA Landscape, while SETU INFRASTRUCTURE provided structural and services engineering and consulting. Photography is by Ira and PHX India. The project is curated by Miwa Negoro and categorized as a house. The original article was published in English on ArchDaily and translated into Spanish.
