Spazio Taverna Launches Progetto Pola with Satya Forte's Site-Specific Show

Spazio Taverna has inaugurated Progetto Pola, a new project room in Rome dedicated to artists under 30. The inaugural exhibition, titled "Pesanti e precisi," features works by Satya Forte, born in 2000 in Atri. Forte's research focuses on material nature, physical and cultural tensions, and earthly transience. The show includes sculptures, photographs, drawings, and videos, some created specifically for the space at viale Pola, designed to foster dialogue between contemporary art and architecture. Forte, winner of the Taverna 2026 prize, also designed the Talismano Taverna in palladium, continuing a tradition started in 2021 that previously involved Gian Maria Tosatti, Numero Cromatico, and Francesco Arena. Marco Bassan, president of Spazio Taverna, stated that the initiative aims to provide exhibition opportunities for a generation lacking institutional access. The exhibition title derives from the Talismano Taverna, where clock and meter forms merge, making time measurable through length and depth. Curated by Chiara Lorenzetti, the show explores precision, gravity, fragility, and verticality.
