Sophie Bille Brahe Unveils Cellophane Nuage Glass Collection

Sophie Bille Brahe, a jewelry designer from Denmark, has unveiled Cellophane Nuage, a limited-edition series of artistic glass vases and candles, all handcrafted in Murano, Italy. Expanding her creative horizons beyond jewelry, the Copenhagen-based designer presents six vases that reinterpret her well-known Escargot and Ocean shapes while introducing new silhouettes like Escargot Ovale and Cellophane Ovale. Among the collection are Cellophane Daphne and Petite Cellophane Daphne, designed for Frederik Bille Brahe's new restaurant and inspired by the story of Apollo and Daphne from Ovid's Metamorphoses. Bille Brahe describes the collection as “a wave of soft, fluid glass,” honoring her family’s influences, with each piece reflecting her deep appreciation for glassblowing and memory.
