Sony Xperia 10 VIII: Same Phone, 38% Higher Price

Sony has just introduced the Xperia 10 VIII, their latest midrange smartphone, which looks a lot like the updated Xperia 10 VII that came out last November. It features a 6.1-inch OLED screen that Sony claims is about 50% brighter for better outdoor visibility, although they haven’t shared exact brightness numbers. The audio quality has also been improved, providing clearer sound with more volume and enhanced bass. It runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor with 8GB of RAM, offering up to two days of battery life with regular use. The camera setup stays the same, with a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens. However, the price has jumped to £549 in the UK, a 38% increase from the previous model, likely due to inflation in the AI memory sector. Also, like other recent Xperia models, it won’t be available in the U.S.
