Somalia Debuts First National Pavilion at 2026 Venice Biennale

The inaugural Somalia National Pavilion, named "SADDEXLEEY," will be showcased at the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia. Featured artists include Ayan Farah, Asmaa Jama, and Warsan Shire. A unique visual identity was crafted for the pavilion, which reinterprets the exhibition's themes through a modern graphic lens while respecting Somali cultural traditions. This identity emphasizes typography and a minimalist graphic approach, drawing inspiration from Somali visual aesthetics and national colors. It was designed to enhance the artworks and was consistently applied across various exhibition graphics, environmental features, printed materials, and digital platforms, ensuring a unified visual narrative throughout the pavilion.
