Solange Azagury-Partridge Debuts Frankenstone Jewellery Collection Inspired by Mary Shelley
This week, Solange Azagury-Partridge unveiled Frankenstone, a jewellery line inspired by the creature from Mary Shelley's novel. The collection includes rings, pendant necklaces, earrings, and a cuff bracelet that creatively reinterpret various gem facets and shapes. Based in London, the British designer selected rock crystal for its clarity, stating, "I wanted to create an effect of solid light," as light enhances the stone's brilliance. Among the pieces is a yellow gold 50:50 ring resembling a split emerald-cut gem adorned with white diamonds, which Azagury-Partridge describes as revealing the gem's inner structure. The Rockstar Vial pendant necklace, strung on black thread, features a container filled with diamonds and gold leaf. Additionally, the Rockstar Cube and Pouch necklaces, both set with white diamonds, can accommodate loose gemstones. Hololith rock crystal rings come in either brilliant or marquise cuts, embellished with diamonds to amplify their effect, which Azagury-Partridge refers to as her precious light traps.
