SOA Architekti's Blue, Red, and Orange Interiors Bring Seoul's Energy to Prague's The Kimchi Restaurant

SOA Architekti has designed the interior of The Kimchi, a Korean restaurant in Prague located next to Masaryk Railway Station, occupying a former pastry shop. The design, inspired by Seoul's street food culture and visual energy, features a bold palette of blue, red, and orange. A dynamic wave motif, referencing the Korean flag, runs through the space, connecting signage, counter, and wall graphics. The layout includes an open kitchen where final dish assembly is visible to guests, along with window seating, communal concrete tables, and takeaway service. The project was developed for a Korean husband-and-wife team, with lead architects Štefan Šulek and Matěj Střecha. Graphic design was by Tomáš Eisner, carpentry by Alan Sekula, lighting by U1 Lighting, hand-painted signage by Daniel Plavecký, and gastronomy production by InGastro. Photography is by Studio Flusser.
