Snow Xue Gao's Spring 2027 Collection Fuses Chinese Heritage with Downtown New York Style

other · 2026-09-15

Snow Xue Gao's ready-to-wear collection for spring 2027, named East Meets Downtown, was photographed outside her storefront in the Bowery. The Parsons graduate showcased the lively atmosphere of the Bowery, featuring local coffee shops and the New Museum. A standout item is her contemporary version of a classic Chinese jacket, designed with braided pan kou fastenings and a Mandarin collar, offered in multiple hues. The line also includes printed denim jackets, striped shirts with peplum hems, and long-sleeve jersey tops inspired by the cheongsam. A new emphasis is placed on denim, including wide-leg jeans. Following the presentation of a qipao top by Sage Sivan, Troye Sivan's sister, global orders increased significantly. Gao remarked that her brand's East-West blend has gained acclaim over nearly a decade.
