Smart unveils all-electric #02 concept ahead of Paris Motor Show

Smart has previewed the long-awaited all-electric #02 with the Concept #02 in Rome, ahead of its official debut at the Paris Motor Show in October. The concept showcases the new ECA platform, a wave-shaped dashboard, bench seat, and ample storage, though some design elements like gold-fastened straps and a logo-heavy grille may not reach production. The #02 is expected to have a 6.95m turning circle and a 35kWh battery, offering a low three-figure range. Smart Europe CEO Wolfgang Ufer emphasized the model's European focus, stating that urban mobility needs to be more intelligent and desirable. First deliveries are anticipated in 2027. The original Smart City-Coupé launched in 1998, and the brand is now jointly owned by Geely and Mercedes-Benz. The concept's styling is China-centric, reflecting the brand's dual focus on Chinese and European markets.
