SmallRig Launches Tribex Pro Monopod with Single-Handle Clutch
SmallRig has launched the Potato Jet Tribex Pro Monopod, incorporating its Tribex Tripod's single-handle clutch mechanism into a monopod format. This new device utilizes advanced X-Clutch hydraulic technology, enabling users to simultaneously extend and lock all leg sections with one handle, facilitating quick and silent height adjustments while filming. There are two primary models: a video variant featuring a three-prong foot and an optional pan-tilt head, and a photo variant that offers either the same foot or a single-point foot with a standard ball head. The video model includes a compact fluid head with a damping system, accommodating up to six kilograms (13.2 pounds) and compatible with DJI RS series and 501PL plates. The monopod, with a three-section design, can support up to 25 kilograms (55.1 pounds), weighs 2.6 kilograms (5.72 pounds), and has a height range of 90 to 170 centimeters (35.4 to 66.9 inches), collapsing to 89 centimeters (35 inches). It features 1/4"-20 threaded holes for accessories and silicone feet with concealed spiked feet. Available configurations include the Barebone Edition ($200), Standard Edition ($360), Photo Kit ($430), and Video Kit ($430). All models are now on sale, accompanied by a four-year warranty.
