Slava Mogutin Marks 20 Years of NYC Go-Go with SoHo Project Space Double Show and New Book

On October 8, 2026, SoHo Project Space at 127-B Prince Street, NYC 10012, will unveil Slava Mogutin's NYC GO-GO 2.0, celebrating its 20th anniversary, alongside LABOR OF LOVE. The opening reception, which includes a book signing, is scheduled from 6–9 PM. This exhibition presents more than 60 previously unreleased outtakes from the original powerHouse Books publication, highlighting East Village performers during gentrification. Bruce LaBruce characterizes NYC Go-Go as a tribute to the go-go boy, intertwining elements of pornography, portraiture, and social history. LABOR OF LOVE, created with Mogutin's partner Jesse Jordan, serves as a visual exploration of domestic life and personal rituals in various cities. SoHo Project Space will also publish a limited-edition volume featuring both works and LaBruce's essay.
